1) Able to diagnose, repair and maintain all systems of an automobile
2) Perform in-depth computer and electrical diagnostics
3) Communicate clear and specific reports for vehicle fault diagnosis, work needed and time required for repair
4) Oversee repairs being performed by other technicians and provide assistance where needed
5) Perform quality inspections of vehicle repairs prior to returning vehicles to the customer
6) Confer with service advisors and customers to obtain information and descriptions of vehicle problems and to discuss work to be performed
7) Maintain a working knowledge of current industry best practices
8) Participate in the hiring and training of new technicians
9) Oversee performance of other technicians, conduct performance reviews and address issues as they arise
10) Oversee all shop activity, including proper use and maintenance of shop equipment
11) Collaborate with the service manager to maintain inspection checklists to ensure thoroughness and consistency in system inspections
12) Maintain work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety
1) ASE Master Technician Certification (L1, L2 preferred)
2) Minimum 5 years' experience
3) Must have tools necessary to adequately perform job duties
4) Must have working knowledge of all common shop tools and equipment
5) Excellent communication skills
6) Valid driver's license
7) Physically able to lift 50lbs
8) Must be knowledgeable about the latest automotive technology and participate in regular training to maintain the highest level of skill in automotive repair
