A client in Benton is looking for a very experienced Industrial Painter. Candidates with experience in automotive painting & paint prep processes WILL be a priority. This person is respnosible for several coating projects and other jobs including, but not limited to: preparing, priming and painting trailers and dump beds; removal of grease, dirt, paint and rest from surfaces; using abrasives, solvents, brushes, blowtorches, washing tanks and sandblasters; correcting flaws and blemishes; maintaining equipment and complying with safety regulations as well as other assignments.
Candidates with experience in industrial painting & paint prep processes will be a priority.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Preparing, priming, painting manufactured dump beds, dump trailers and parts
Operating forklift into and out of paint environment
Disposing of all hazardous materials in an appropriate manner
Removal of grease, dirt, paint or rust from project surfaces in preparation for paint application
Use of abrasives, solvents, brushes, blowtorches, washing tanks and sandblaster as needed
Monitoring paint operations to identify flaws such as blisters or streaks and correct blemish as well as cause. Verify specifications by monitoring project throughout the process, resolving when possible and notifying paint supervisor as needed
Document actions by completing production, quality and time forms
Maintaining equipment as well as a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Wearing proper gear and attire
Ability to wear respirator
Ability to lift up to 70lbs unassisted as required
Pay is depending on experience, but ranges from $14-$17+/hr. Work schedule is Monday-Friday from 7am-3: 30pm with occasional overtime.
