Proficiency with basic office operations vital to day-to-day business including MS Office Suite, MS Excel, Adobe PDF, etc.
General functional knowledge of standard office phone systems as well as basic office administrative duties such as filing, scanning, shredding, organizational skills, etc.
Organizing and maintaining files and documentation thoroughly and accurately in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
Employment and compliance to regulatory concerns and reporting. Employee orientation, policy development and documentation
Compensation and benefits administration
Assisting with employee services and counseling as needed
Helping to ensure proper organizational compliance with all existing government and labor legal requirements including the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Department of Labor, worker compensation, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and so forth.
The schedule is Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm with a 1 hour lunch break. Pay ranges from $14-$16/hr; there IS room for growth. Once hired on, you'll be eligible to receive company benefits including: health, dental, vision and retirement.
1-2 years minimum of payroll experience, preferably with companies of 50+ employees
Proficient in payroll / accounting software, ex: Quicken
Strong problem-solving skills, basic accounting principles, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis, etc.
Understanding of operation of office equipment such as a computer, printer, copier, fax machine, calculator / 10-key, scanner, shredder, etc.
