Job Description

The Outbound Call Center Representative performs a wide variety of insurance billing duties in support of the Revenue Cycle Management department. As an integral part of our RCM team, the position serves in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment in order to meet performance and quality assurance benchmarks. Essential duties include various aspects of patient collections.

Must be able to speak fluently in English and Spanish. If you know how to speak Spanish and do not have experience in medical collections, then we are willing to do training and have you work as an interpreter.

Handling collections on unpaid patient account balances.
Answering patients billing questions.
Phone triage & return patient phone calls.
Follow client protocols for patient collection.
Keep current on informational changes in billing/collection procedures
Meet benchmarks for patient collection volume.
Learn or know how to read and understand an EOB.
Communicate/answer questions regarding outstanding patient collection issues

Job Requirements

3+ years experience in medical collections and EOBs
Must be able to speak Spanish and English fluently
Ability to deal with a number of tasks simultaneously
Able to maintain confidentiality under HIPAA standards.
Must have the ability to exercise a high degree of diplomacy and tact; excellent customer services skills.
Must be highly flexible; able to accommodate changing needs of the department. Must be a self-starter, motivated and have the ability to multi-task.
